Dr. Kristen Arnold is an Assistant Professor and the Ed.S. Program Director of School Psychology at Gonzaga Â鶹¹ÙÍø, where she focuses on inclusive education and the implementation of high-leverage practices. She holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Innovation from Arizona State Â鶹¹ÙÍø, an M.A. in Elementary Education from Whitworth Â鶹¹ÙÍø, and a B.A. in Special Education from Seattle Pacific Â鶹¹ÙÍø. Dr. Arnold is certified in Special Education (K-12), Elementary Education (K-8), and Reading in the state of Washington, and she spent 10 years as an inclusive and special education teacher for UW's Haring Center, Spokane Public Schools, and the Department of Defense overseas. With extensive experience across various educational settings, Dr. Arnold has also served as an instructor at institutions such as the Â鶹¹ÙÍø of Kansas and Arizona State Â鶹¹ÙÍø.
Her research interests include the development and support of inclusive practices within educational systems, with a particular focus on high-leverage practices and culturally responsive teaching. Currently, Dr. Arnold is pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Educational Leadership from Harvard Â鶹¹ÙÍø, further enhancing her expertise in educational leadership and equity. She is actively involved in research and community service, including work with juvenile justice systems and inclusive education initiatives. Dr. Arnold is committed to bridging the gap between theory and practice, ensuring that all students, particularly those with disabilities, receive equitable and effective education.
