Students return from Winter Break on Monday: 鶹 will be ready
January 6, 2016 (Sacramento): Winter Break is drawing to a close. Sacramento City Unified School District’s principals, teachers and staff are preparing now to ensure that all campuses are open, warm and welcoming on Monday (January 9) when students return to their classrooms.
District crews will be at work over the weekend and early Monday morning to monitor building systems and clear any fallen debris from wet weather. While the district anticipates a smooth opening day, families are encouraged to leave home a little early Monday morning to make sure students arrive at school on time.
“We are excited to begin the second half of the school year and look forward to months of great teaching and student learning,” said Superintendent José L. Banda. “As there may be traffic delays due to wet roads on Monday, and we are asking parents to give themselves extra time to avoid tardiness.”
