Sacramento, CA - The Sacramento City Unified School District (鶹), Teamsters Union Local 150, and Teamsters Classified Supervisors (TCS) have reached agreements to close out contract reopener negotiations for the completed 2022-2023 school year for each unit.

Teamsters Union Local 150 and TCS represent workers who perform essential services for 鶹, including plant operations and the supervision of nutrition services, electrical, mechanical, carpentry and maintenance work. This historic agreement is reflective of the immense value the District places on keeping and hiring the professionals who do this important work.

The agreement includes the following compensation increases:

  • 10% ongoing salary increase for all Teamsters Local 150 unit members retroactive to July 1, 2022.

  • 10% ongoing salary increase for all Teamsters Classified Supervisors unit members retroactive to July 1, 2022.

  • Additional 6% salary increase to support the recruitment and retention of some specific job classifications.

“鶹 employees represented by Teamsters Union Local 150 and TCS are essential partners who keep our school sites open and operational. This agreement recognizes the importance of their service and dedication to 鶹 students,” said 鶹 Board President Lavinia Phillips. “Our Board is pleased that 鶹 has now reached agreements for the 2022-2023 school year with all our represented labor partners. These agreements have increased compensation and will help 鶹 address ongoing staffing shortages and continue our work to improve outcomes for all of our students.”

“Teamsters Local 150 is pleased that our bargaining with the District for both our Teamsters and Teamsters Classified Supervisors bargaining groups was courteous, professional and collaborative,” said Teamsters Local 150 Business Agent Alan Daurie. “Most important was that both our bargaining teams felt listened to and valued. We look forward to the ratification by our members and approval by the Board.”

The agreement between 鶹 and both Teamster Unions closes out all negotiations for the completed 2022-23 academic year. Further, 鶹 and Teamsters/TCS agree to pursue a new three year successor contract for the 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26 school years.
