At the April 18 meeting of the Sacramento City Unified School District Board, the Board recognized Vivian Toddy as a Stellar Student. Vivian attends Albert Einstein Middle School where she participates in the GATE program and advanced band. She is very involved in the American Indian community, Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s American Indian Education Program, and is a member of the Native Youth of Sacramento youth group. Vivian is a talented musician and artist and is an accomplished student. Her teachers describe her as an excellent role model for her classmates.

The Sacramento City Unified School District’s American Indian Education Program will hold its annual public hearing on Monday May 6, 2024 6:30 P.M.-7:30 P.M. at the Serna Center.
The purpose of this meeting is to gather recommendations for the 2024-2025 Title VI Indian Education Formula grant application.
Meeting Date: Monday, May 6th

The following statement is attributed to Â鶹¹ÙÍø Board President Lavinia Phillips regarding the appointment of Lisa Allen as Superintendent:
“I’m so proud that Lisa Allen has been appointed as Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s Superintendent! Our governing board made the decision to appoint her to serve in this role, but in doing so, we were responding to feedback and requests that came from our community.
