Health Services Updates – Saving Lives from Opioid Overdose/Narcan for Schools
All Grades

In response to the opioid epidemic, 鶹 will be adding another life-saving rescue medication to all our school sites, with the provision of Naloxone (NARCAN) nasal spray.  

All our school sites have a number of emergency and rescue measures at their disposal, including AEDs to restart heart rhythms, Epi-Pen auto-injectors in the case of a severe allergic reaction, and now Naloxone nasal spray in the event of a suspected opioid overdose.  Laypersons may administer Narcan and law provides immunity.

Annual 504 Training This Thursday

Please attend the annual 504 training this Thursday 9/29 from 9:00-11:00. The training is provided by Sarah Garcia from Lozano and Smith.

Red Ribbon Week: October 24 – October 31, 2022

Sacramento Unified School District (鶹) will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week during the week of October 24-October 31, 2022. The Red Ribbon Campaign is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation reaching millions of young people during Red Ribbon Week. The theme for 鶹 this year is “Celebrate Life: Live Drug Free”. The purpose of Red Ribbon Week is to present a visible commitment to living a safe, healthy, and drug-free life.

Sac State Virtual Learning Event: Paving the Educational Equity Pipeline of Persistence and Success

Sacramento State will host its annual Student Academic Success Day from September 19th to 23rd, 2022.

During the 2022 virtual Student Academic Success Day event, Sac State is hosting a FREE special professional learning experience session “Paving the Educational Equity Pipeline of Persistence and Success” from 11:00 am – 11:50 am on Monday, September 19th.
