Induction Program Grievance Process
The Sacramento City Unified School District (Â鶹¹ÙÍø) Induction Program seeks to provide professional learning opportunities in optimal working and learning environments. If an applicant or program participating teacher questions application procedures, program prerequisites, program requirements, policies and procedures, program extension or deferral requests, equivalency requests, credential eligibility reviews, or other program related issues, the first step is to address the concern with the relevant party, such as the support provider or coordinator.

Academic Office
The heartbeat of this office is high quality learning and teaching that will prepare our students for college and/or career plus are aligned to the educational and organizational goals outlined in District’s Strategic Plan: Putting Children First. We are committed to promoting research-based curriculum, continuous improvement in the design and delivery of intentional instruction, integration of multidimensional formative assessments as well as supporting services that remove the obstacles to learning from pre-school to post-secondary.
GATE Identification Process and Timeline
The Sacramento City Unified School District utilizes multiple measures to determine GATE eligibility including measures of intellectual capability, academic work, and profiles of gifted characteristics. All first and third grade students are screened for further evaluation in the GATE identification process. Parents, teachers and principals may nominate students in grades 2, 4-6 through the referral process.
