2025-26 Transitional Kindergarten Lottery and Kindergarten Enrollment Opens January 13, 2025
Parent/guardians can begin enrolling their child in either Transitional Kindergarten (TK) or Kindergarten starting January 13, 2025. Please note that all enrollment applications will be processed online only.

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Lottery
To be eligible for Transitional Kindergarten (TK), children must turn four years old on or before September 1, 2025. TK will be offered at 45 of our elementary and K-8 schools, and placement is determined through a lottery.
TK Lottery Application Period
- Start Date: January 13, 2025, at 8:00 AM
- End Date: February 21, 2025, at 5:00 PM
Families residing within district boundaries can apply and select up to two preferred schools for their child. Families who apply will be notified of the lottery results on March 10, 2025. Learn more about the TK Lottery.
Additional TK Enrollment Options
Families who do not apply through the TK Lottery can apply via the District Permit Process between April 7-25, 2025, which is also conducted through a lottery, or through regular registration starting May 19, 2025. Both options are subject to availability across the district.

Kindergarten Enrollment
To be eligible for Kindergarten, children must turn five years old on or before September 1, 2025. Kindergarten is offered at all elementary and K-8 schools, with placement based on the student’s primary address.

Families can apply for the 2025-2026 school year between February
3, 2025 at 8:00 AM and February 21, 2025 at 5:00 PM.
We recommend registering your kindergartener at your neighborhood school before applying for Open Enrollment, in case your child is not selected through the lottery.
