Dr. Amy Pistone is an Associate Professor of Classical Civilizations at Gonzaga Â鶹¹ÙÍø. After earning her BA in Classical Languages from UC Berkeley in 2008, she earned her PhD in Classical Studies from the Â鶹¹ÙÍø of Michigan in 2017. Her specialties are Greek tragedy as well as feminist theory and . She has also worked on symposiastic culture in the ancient world, , and modern uses of  and is very interested in ways that Greek and Roman culture interacts with our contemporary world. Her recent publications include work on  and . She is also a member of the Women's Classical Caucus's Executive Team and a co-chair of the Classics and Social Justice group.
